S.T. DUPONT CELEBRATES 85 YEARS OF FLAME AND REINVENTION AT NEW HARBOUR CITY BOUTIQUE IN HONG KONG

S.T. DUPONT debuts its latest retail space in the city’s beloved harbourfront, marking the occasion with the global unveiling of a phoenix-inspired 85th anniversary collection.

On September 3, S.T. Dupont officially opened the doors to its newest Harbour City boutique — a space that not only signals premier luxury and timeless elegance but also signifies the brand’s enduring bond with Hong Kong.

After more than a century and a half, Simon Tissot Dupont’s vision continues to burn brightly. The founder who first began crafting personalized travel trunks as travelling companions for European nobility has left a legacy that now spans across precious metals, lacquer, and flame.

Today, the Maison continues to reinvent its heritage under a singular vision of French craftsmanship, combining technical innovation and savoir-faire. This year marks the 85th anniversary of S.T. Dupont’s most iconic creation: the first luxury lighter, born in 1941.

To honour this milestone, the Maison chose Hong Kong as the stage for the global unveiling of its 85th Anniversary Limited Edition — a bespoke collection that draws on the mythic symbolism of the phoenix to commemorate rebirth, resilience, and the enduring power of artisanal traditions.

At the heart of it are two limited-edition Ligne 2 lighters, fashioned in both gold and palladium. Each lighter is numbered to 1,941 pieces — a tribute to the year of S.T. Dupont’s first lighter, the year that changed the Maison forever.

Adorned with a phoenix engraving, flame-effect lacquered décor and a commemorative “85” inscription, these lighters carry the signature S.T. Dupont double flame and the unmistakable cling that collectors have coveted for generations.

For those seeking the pinnacle of the collection, the Haute Création expressions — Joaillerie and Prestige — elevate the lighter into high jewellery territory, with 85 sapphires, diamond-point guilloché, and popoté lacquer. Produced in a strictly limited edition, only 85 pieces exist worldwide — each one a testament to European excellence.

Visitors to the new Harbour City boutique will also encounter two other extraordinary Haute Création collections. The first, Horse, responds to the energy of the 2026 Fire Horse, pairing the Le Grand Dupont lighter with the Line D Eternity XL pen — a dramatic sculptural metal horse crowned with radiant gold finishes and a flame-inspired design. Haute Création: Horse embodies inner fire and freedom.

The second, Haute Création: Louis XIV, channels the splendour of Versailles through royal blue lacquer, gold leaf, and diamonds — a High Jewelry series limited to only eight pieces globally, with a companion jewelry edition limited to 88 pieces. Inspired by the Sun King, Haute Création: Louis XIV pays homage to an era of extravagant artistry and unparalleled refinement.

Located within one of Hong Kong’s busiest retail destinations, S.T Dupont’s new Harbour City boutique offers more than a point of sale — it offers a gallery of French savoir-faire, where collectors and connoisseurs can experience the weight, sound, and texture of objects that have accompanied cultural icons such as Coco Chanel, Pablo Picasso, and Marilyn Monroe.

With this opening, S.T. Dupont reaffirms its commitment to a city that values both heritage and reinvention — qualities that lie at the very core of the Maison itself.
