Terms and Conditions (T&C) is a Hong Kong-based independent culture publication dedicated to starting creative conversations, sharing untold stories, and bridging the gap between the East and West through an artistic lens. ‘Issue 5: On My Terms’ is an editorial print edition that explores the power of reinvention, spotlighting three cover story artists from Hong Kong, London, and America — each representing a distinct continent, culture, and creative rhythm.

Our first cover artist is Kiri T, a Hong Kong-born singer-songwriter who has redefined contemporary Cantopop on her own terms. With songs like “至少做一件離譜的事 (You Gotta Screw Up At Least Once)” and “Bilingual Problems (有些話要用英文說),” Kiri T is an artist who turns self-doubt into creative fuel, tackling heavy emotions with tongue-in-cheek lyricism.

Our second cover artist is Olaolu Slawn, also known as Slawn, a name that has become synonymous with disruption. Within three years, Slawn made his debut exhibition at Truman Brewery, his auction debut at Sotheby’s, and became the youngest artist ever to design the BRIT Awards statuette in 2023. Based in London, Slawn is a street artist turned rebel icon.

Our final cover artist is Jabari Manwa — a producer, singer, and songwriter who rose to fame as a core member of the American hip-hop group BROCKHAMPTON, but has since reinvented himself as SAGA BOUY. Raised in Grenada, Jabari shares his story as a solo artist embracing a new chapter, one that fuses his Caribbean roots with global influences.
